JobBrief ("we", "our", "the service") is committed to handling your personal data transparently and in compliance with applicable privacy laws including PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (EU/EEA), and CASL.
By creating an account you consent to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
JobBrief uses Claude, the AI service operated by Anthropic PBC, to score job fit, generate tailored resumes, and write cover letters. Anthropic acts as a data processor on our behalf; its handling of API data is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy.
When you run a digest or generate a document, your resume text and the relevant job description are sent to our AI provider over an encrypted connection (TLS). This data is processed solely to generate your requested output.
We do not use your data to train AI models. Data shared with our AI provider is used exclusively to fulfill your request and is subject to the provider's data retention policies for API customers.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

We use only technically necessary cookies (session authentication). We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You may decline non-essential cookies via the banner shown on first visit — this will not affect your ability to use the service.
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records).
By accessing or using JobBrief you agree to these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
Resumes and cover letters generated by JobBrief are produced by AI and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before submitting it to employers. JobBrief makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of generated documents for any particular job application.
Job listings surfaced by the digest are sourced from third-party job boards and APIs. We do not verify the accuracy, availability, or legitimacy of any listing. We are not responsible for the content of external job postings or the hiring decisions of third-party employers.
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe it was made in error.
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will result in job interviews or offers.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobBrief's total liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or CAD $50, whichever is greater.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
